Robert Žburin

Robert Žburin, born on November 2, 1985 in Zadar; He received his primary and secondary music education at the music school of Josip Hatze - Split in the class of prof. Vladimir Lukas. He graduated in 2004. During his studies, he won a number of prizes at county, regional and national competitions (six first, four second and two third prizes), and performed at festive concerts at the HNK Split, the final concerts of the competition at the HNK Zadar and the Croatian Music Institute in Zagreb. Among other performances, it is worth mentioning performances at competitions and concerts in the following cities: Dubrovnik, Split, Trogir, Imotski, Šibenik, Zadar, Rijeka, Opatija, Samobor, Zagreb, Osijek and Široki Brijeg (BiH). Right at the beginning of his musical education, in 1997, he won the first prize at the then county competition for young musicians "Daleki akordi".

Robert Žburin, rođen 2. studenog 1985. godine u Zadru; osnovno i srednje glazbeno obrazovanje stekao je u glazbenoj školi Josipa Hatzea - Split u klasi prof. Vladimira Lukasa. Maturirao je 2004. godine. Tijekom školovanja osvojio je niz nagrada na županijskim, regionalnim i državnim natjecanjima (šest prvih, četiri druge i dvije treće nagrade), te nastupio na svečanim koncertima u splitskom HNK-u, završnim koncertima natjecanja u HNK Zadar i u Hrvatskom glazbenom zavodu u Zagrebu. Od ostalih nastupa valja spomenuti i nastupe na natjecanjima i koncertima u sljedećim gradovima: Dubrovnik, Split, Trogir, Imotski, Šibenik, Zadar, Rijeka, Opatija, Samobor, Zagreb, Osijek i Široki Brijeg (BIH). Odmah na početku glazbenog obrazovanja, 1997. godine, osvaja prvu nagradu na tadašnjem županijskom natjecanju mladih glazbenika „Daleki akordi“.

In 2004, he enrolled in cello studies at the Art Academy of the University of Split in the class of prof. Šajfar's favorite. During his studies, he attended the seminars of prof. Sergio da Simone in chamber ensembles and prof. Manfred Stilz as a soloist. He also performed as part of the orchestra of the HNK Split opera and the Split Chamber Orchestra.
In 2005, he performed at the concert of the best students at the Split National Theater in the orchestra, in a quintet under the direction of prof. Olga Cinkoburova and as a soloist under the guidance of prof. Šajfar's favorite.
In the same year, he performed at the international meeting of young string players in Osijek in a trio led by prof. Olga Cinkoburova.
He was awarded a University scholarship in 2006 and a state scholarship for highly gifted students in 2007.
In 2007, in Rijeka, at the concert of the best students in the Filodrammatica hall, he participated in the presentation of the Split Academy of Arts in a quintet and as a soloist.
He is the winner of three first state prizes (two of which are absolute) in the disciplines of trio, quartet and quintet, and the second state prize in the discipline of trio, all under the guidance of prof. Olga Cinkoburova.
He graduated in 2008 with honors and an award for outstanding results achieved during his studies.
From 2008 to 2014, he was a permanent member of the Zadar Chamber Orchestra and regularly performs at all the orchestra's concerts.
Since 2011, he has been actively engaged in tuning pianos, and as a tuner he regularly works at the music school of Blagoj Bersa in Zadar, at the music school of Josip Hatze in Split and Trogir, and at the Art Academy in Split. He also works as a tuner for the company Euro Unit d.o.o. (Yamaha center – Croatia).
Since 2013, he has been a permanent employee of the music school of Josip Hatze in Trogir as a professor. cello where he gained his teaching experience.
With the help of the school director, prof. Vesne Alebić and the head of the Trogir department, Prof. Raseljke Bonačić founded a small string orchestra, which he leads and prepares for concerts as part of classes.
In 2013, at a professor's concert in Trogir, he premiered Blagoj Bersa's piece "Dreaming" for cello and piano.
In 2014, he performed at the international festival of classical and alternative-urban music in Lastovo in a trio and as a soloist.
Since 2015, he has been a member of the newly founded trio "Nobile" (together with Svjetlana Mandić and Kristina Cvitanić), which was created in Trogir, and plans to act and promote culture in Croatia and abroad.
In the same year, he performed in a trio at the Papandopulijana festival in Tribunj.
In 2016, he performed in the trio "Nobile" at HNK-Split on the occasion of the anniversary of the birth of Boris Papandopulo, at the Hvar Summer Festival and the Bol Summer Festival, and at the MAG International Chamber Music Festival in Split.
Since 2016, he has been playing in the orchestra of the HNK-Split Opera as deputy leader.
In 2017, he performed in the trio "Nobile" in the ceremonial hall of the University of Zadar.
In 2018, he held a solo recital accompanied by pianist Kristina Cvitanić in Vitturi Castle (Kaštela) and founded a duo with pianist Kristina Cvitanić. In the same year, he was employed at Josip Hatze's secondary music school.
Since 2019, he has been a member of the newly founded string quartet "Vivo" (together with Evgenia Epshtein, Svjetlana Mandić and Stip Marinić), with whom he performs in the Museum of the City of Split as part of a symposium of musicologists from Germany.
In 2020, the quartet receives support from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia.
In the same year, he was hired as the leader of the cello section of the HNK-Split Opera Orchestra.
He performed as part of the Split Virtuosos at the summer performances in 2020.
In 2022, he received an invitation to participate in Mische Maiski's masterclass in Cremona, Stauffer Center for Strings, Italy.

2004. godine upisuje studij violončela na Umjetničkoj akademiji Sveučilišta u Splitu u klasi prof. Miljenka Šajfara. Tijekom studija pohađao je seminare prof. Sergia da Simonea u komornim sastavima i prof. Manfreda Stilza kao solist. Nastupio je i kao dio orkestra opere HNK Split i Splitskog komornog orkestra.
2005. godine nastupa na koncertu najboljih studenata u splitskom HNK u orkestru, u kvintetu pod vodstvom prof. Olge Cinkoburove i kao solist pod vodstvom prof. Miljenka Šajfara.
Iste godine nastupa na međunarodnom susretu mladih gudača u Osijeku u triu pod vodstvom prof. Olge Cinkoburove.
Dobitnik je stipendije Sveučilišta 2006. godine i državne stipendije za izrazito nadarene studente 2007. godine.
2007. godine u Rijeci na koncertu najboljih studenata u dvorani Filodrammatica sudjeluje na predstavljanju splitske Umjetničke akademije u kvintetu i kao solist.
Dobitnik je tri prve državne nagrade (od kojih su dvije apsolutne) u disciplinama trio, kvartet i kvintet, te druge državne nagrade u disciplini trio, a sve pod vodstvom prof. Olge Cinkoburove.
Diplomirao je 2008. godine s pohvalom i nagradom za izvanredne rezultate postignute tijekom studija.
Od 2008. do 2014. godine stalni je član Zadarskog komornog orkestra i redovno nastupa na svim koncertima orkestra.
Od 2011. godine aktivno se bavi ugađanjem glasovira, te kao štimer dobiva redovan angažman u glazbenoj školi Blagoja Berse u Zadru, angažman u glazbenoj školi Josipa Hatzea u Splitu i Trogiru, te na Umjetničkoj akademiji u Splitu. Kao štimer radi i za tvrtku Euro Unit d.o.o. (Yamaha centar – Hrvatska).
Od 2013. stalni je zaposlenik glazbene škole Josipa Hatzea u Trogiru kao prof. violončela gdje stječe svoje pedagoško iskustvo.
Uz pomoć ravnateljice škole prof. Vesne Alebić i voditeljice trogirskog odjela prof. Rašeljke Bonačić osnovao je orkestar malih gudača kojeg vodi i priprema za koncerte u sklopu nastave.
2013. godine na koncertu profesora u Trogiru praizveo je djelo „Sanjarenje“ Blagoja Berse za violončelo i klavir.
2014. godine nastupio je na međunarodnom festivalu klasične i alternativno-urbane glazbe na Lastovu u triu i kao solist.
Od 2015. godine član je novoosnovanog trija „Nobile“ (zajedno sa Svjetlanom Mandić i Kristinom Cvitanić) koji je nastao u Trogiru, a planira djelovati i promovirati kulturu u Hrvatskoj i inozemstvu.
Iste godine u triu nastupa na festivalu Papandopulijana u Tribunju.
2016. godine nastupa u triu „Nobile“ u HNK-Split povodom obljetnice rođenja Borisa Papandopula, na Hvarskim ljetnim priredbama i na Bolskom ljetu, te na MAG međunarodnom festivalu komorne glazbe u Splitu.
Od 2016. godine svira u orkestru Opere HNK-Split kao zamjenik vođe.
2017. godine nastupa u triu „Nobile“ u svečanoj dvorani Sveučilišta u Zadru.
2018. godine održava solistički recital uz pratnju pijanistice Kristine Cvitanić u dvorcu Vitturi (Kaštela) i osniva duo s pijanisticom Kristinom Cvitanić. Iste godine zapošljava se u srednjoj glazbenoj školi Josipa Hatzea.
Od 2019. član je novoosnovanog gudačkog kvarteta „Vivo“ (zajedno sa Evgeniom Epshtein, Svjetlanom Mandić i Stipom Marinićem) s kojim nastupa u Muzeju grada Splita u sklopu simpozija muzikologa iz Njemačke.
2020. godine kvartet dobiva potporu Ministarstva kulture RH.
Iste godine je angažiran kao vođa cello sekcije orkestra Opere HNK-Split.
Nastupio je u sastavu Splitskih virtuoza na ljetnim priredbama 2020. godine.
2022. godine dobiva poziv za sudjelovanje na masterclass-u Mische Maiskog u Cremoni, Stauffer center for strings, Italija.
